Image License

The screenshots, diagrams, illustrations and social cards on QuickDeveloperTools are ours, and most everyday uses of them are fine without asking. This page says exactly which, how to credit them, and where to write for anything else.

1. Which images this covers

Every image published on this domain by QuickDeveloperTools: tool screenshots and illustrations, the preview images shown when a page is shared, diagrams in the Knowledge Base, and video thumbnails we made. They are protected by copyright; this page is the licence that lets you use them.

The QuickDeveloperTools name and logo are covered separately — see what is not allowed.

2. Free to use, with credit

You may copy, share and display our images, without asking and without paying, when you are:

  • writing about, reviewing, recommending or linking to QuickDeveloperTools or one of its tools;
  • teaching — in tutorials, courses, slides, internal wikis and documentation;
  • sharing a page on social media, in a newsletter or in a forum post;
  • reporting a bug or asking a question about one of the tools.

You may crop or resize an image to fit your layout. Keep it recognisably ours: do not alter results so that a tool appears to say something it did not.

3. How to credit

Put a credit next to the image, or in the caption or image credits, that names us and links to the page it came from where the format allows a link:

4. Not allowed without permission

  • selling the images, or including them in stock libraries, templates, themes or print products;
  • using them in advertising, or to suggest that QuickDeveloperTools endorses you, your product or your service;
  • presenting them as your own work, or removing a copyright notice or credit;
  • using the QuickDeveloperTools name or logo as, or as part of, your own branding;
  • republishing our pages wholesale with their images (link to them instead).

5. Anything else

For any use not covered above — commercial, print, a high-resolution original, or use without a credit — email [email protected] with the image URL and how you want to use it. We usually say yes.

6. Images that are not ours

Your files stay yours. Images you convert, inspect or turn into a PDF with our tools are processed in your browser, and we claim no rights over them or over the output.

Some pages show images owned by others — embedded videos, third-party logos in results, or pages our checkers fetch. Those belong to their owners and this licence does not cover them. If you think something here infringes your rights, see the DMCA & copyright policy.
