Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing QuickDeveloperTools you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, which forms part of them. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. What you may do

You may use the tools freely for personal and commercial work, without an account and without payment. You may:

• use the results in your own projects, reports and client deliverables
• use the site at work, including on behalf of clients
• link to any page, including deep links to specific tools
• reference and quote the explanatory content with attribution

No licence fee, no attribution requirement on tool output, no usage cap for normal human use.

3. What you must not do

You agree not to:

• use the site to do anything unlawful, or to help anyone else do so
• attack, overload, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
• circumvent rate limits, or drive the tools with scripts, scrapers or bots at a volume no person could produce
• resell, rebrand or mirror the tools as your own service
• use the network and security tools against systems you do not own or have written permission to test
• upload or process content you have no right to process, including other people's personal data
• remove or obscure any notice on the site, or misrepresent its output as endorsed by us

We may rate-limit, block or refuse service to anyone breaching this section, without notice. Given that no accounts exist, this is enforced at the network level.

4. Scanning other people's sites

Several tools make a request to a host you specify. That request comes from our infrastructure, appears in the target's logs, and is attributable to us — but you chose the target.

You are solely responsible for having the right to direct a request at any host you enter. In many jurisdictions, probing systems without authorisation is a criminal offence regardless of how gentle the probe is. The tools here perform ordinary, publicly observable requests, not intrusive testing — but that distinction is yours to respect, not ours to enforce.

5. Accuracy of results

The tools are built carefully and tested, but every result is informational. In particular:

• Security checks examine publicly visible configuration. They are not a penetration test, a vulnerability assessment, or a compliance certification.
• SEO checks grade on-page signals. They do not predict rankings, which depend on content, intent and external links that no on-page tool can see.
• Network and IP data is only as good as the upstream registries and providers, which are frequently out of date or approximate.
• Password and hashing utilities estimate strength using published models. An estimate is not a guarantee against any specific attacker.

Verify anything that matters before acting on it, especially before a production change or a client deliverable.

6. Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime commitment. We may change, suspend, limit or withdraw any tool at any time, including permanently, and without notice. Because nothing is stored and no account exists, this cannot cause you to lose data held here — but do not build a process that depends on a specific tool remaining available.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, code, written explanations and branding belong to QuickDeveloperTools and are protected by copyright. These terms grant you a right to use the site, not a licence to copy it.

Your content remains yours. We claim no ownership of anything you paste, upload or generate, and no rights over the output you obtain. For client-side tools we never receive it in the first place.

8. Third-party data and links

Some tools display data supplied by third parties, and some pages link to external sites. We do not control either, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.

9. No warranty

The site and every tool on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be correct or complete.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickDeveloperTools is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of your use of or inability to use the site — whether the claim is in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and even if we were told such damages were possible.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising from or connected to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free service, is nil) or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickDeveloperTools against any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your use of the tools against a system you were not authorised to test.

12. Governing law

A governing jurisdiction has not yet been designated for this service. Until one is published here, any dispute will be handled under the law of the place where QuickDeveloperTools is established, and both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter in good faith by writing to [email protected] before starting formal proceedings.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and continued use after that date means acceptance. For material changes we will make the change visible rather than relying on you to notice a date.
