    How it works

    01

    Add JPGs

Drop, choose or paste as many as you like. Each one is decoded by your browser, with phone rotation applied.

    02

    Pick options

Keep it as is, knock out a background colour, or scale it down.

    03

    Convert and download

Each image is redrawn and saved as PNG. Several images come as one ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

    Questions

Why is my PNG bigger than the JPG?

JPG throws detail away to stay small; PNG keeps every pixel exactly. Converting cannot bring back what the JPG discarded, but it stops any further loss — which is what you want before editing, adding text or layering the image.

    Will the PNG be transparent?

Only if you ask for it. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG is fully opaque unless you turn on Make a colour transparent, which works best on logos and product shots with a flat background.

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Decoding, drawing and PNG encoding all happen in this tab. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

What happens to EXIF and GPS data?

It is not copied. The PNG contains only the pixels, which also makes this a quick way to strip location data from a photo before sharing it.
