HOW IT WORKS

A Real Website Report, Not a Demo

Analyze fetches the target URL from our own server with strict SSRF protections (private/loopback/link-local/metadata addresses are always rejected), parses the HTML with AngleSharp for SEO and metadata, checks real security response headers, and independently opens a TLS connection to inspect the certificate. A headless Chromium browser then loads the page for real to capture an actual screenshot plus true request counts and transfer sizes. Core Web Vitals come from Google's PageSpeed Insights API when configured, never from a random number generator.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Website Inspector FAQ

Is the screenshot real?

Yes. A headless Chromium browser (Playwright) actually loads the page and captures a screenshot, rather than showing a placeholder graphic.

Why do some numbers appear a few seconds after others?

The SEO/security/SSL report returns first because it doesn't need a full browser. The screenshot, real request count and Core Web Vitals need a full page load or a third-party API call, so they load in shortly after.

Can I inspect internal or private URLs?

No. Requests that resolve to localhost, private IP ranges, link-local addresses or cloud metadata endpoints are rejected before any fetch happens.

Why does Core Web Vitals say "not configured"?

Real Core Web Vitals come from Google's PageSpeed Insights API, which needs a free API key. Until one is configured on this deployment, that section stays honestly blank instead of showing made-up numbers.

Is my scanned data stored?

No. Each scan runs live for your request only. The exported report is generated and downloaded entirely in your browser.
